Any special requests for food or activities, send them my way, but looking at the LOOOOOONG list of RSVPs, this’ll be fun! Feel free to bring your frisbees, croquet or badminton sets, kites…I know I’ll have bocce ball and if we can rig it up, we’ll have a sprinkler set up too.

Just as a reminder, lunch is totally free for PUSOG members (if you donated more than $100 or paid dues in 2009, you’re a member), and only a small contribution of $5 per guest/max $10 per family. Any additional or last minute donations are welcome – just come see me or another member of the board.

Thanks to everyone for RSVPing – look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Just a fun thing I put together; one more tribute to the rich history of our chapter. An archive of all the Psi U shirts I’ve been able to get my greedy mitts on. I will happily include any I missed. (NOTE: If you have detail shots of jerseys from other order batches[I know there were more] or want your shirt name and number included on the jersey page, please send it along to me). If you want to submit memories about the events, please do so in the comments.

Event: Softball practice

There will be softball practice for alumni at the field in Atari’s apartment complex this saturday, Noon-3pm.

Address is 4905 Tree Corners Parkway, Norcross Ga 30092.  When you enter the complex you will see a white dashed line on the ground; if you follow that until it ends and turn LEFT the park will be on your right after you pass the dumpsters.

Southern Greek Housing Conference

On Feb 28th Jonathan “Atari” Chaffin GT’00 and Rebecca Howie GT’03 attended the Inaugural Southern Greek Housing Conference hosted by The Laurus Group. Topics discussed included alumni retention and recruitment, insurance, issues surrounding Fraternal organizations, and the outsourcing of things like alumni newsletters, property maintenance, and food service programs.

There was also a speaker regarding The Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act (CHIA) (H.R.643/S.638 which will make donations for Fraternity House improvements tax deductible (more info here at fratpac.org and here at fraternalcaucus.org/.

Another major topic of discussion was fraternity house renovation; expect more notes on the details of that discussion later.
